Review: SPEED RACER
This past weekend, the Wachowski Brothers' live action adaptation of the classic Japanese cartoon series Speed Racer took a beating at the box office and by critics. Personally, I think most critics got it wrong, and Speed Racer is a film that will be reevaluated in years to come much in the same way that 2001 and Blade Runner have been.

You owe Peter David a nickel for that last sentence.
I had actually started to read PAD's review of Speed Racer, but stopped when he invoked Blade Runner, as I already had a similar notation made in my notebook while watching the movie last Saturday.
BTW- You absolutely need to see this film in IMAX. Total eyeball crack.
