Aaron Taylor-Johnson Officially Cast as Quicksilver In THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

AaronQuickSilverIt’s been a long time coming. but it’s officially official. We think.

The Wrap is quoting a source that states that Aaron Taylor-Johnson has officially signed to play Quicksilver in The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

While the casting has been rumored about for months, stemming from an interview with  Taylor-Johnson done by Total Film where the actor described the research he was doing for the character. However, the deal was not finalized until today, as scheduling conflicts between the film’s shooting schedule and the actor’s commitment to the publicity tour for Godzilla had to be worked out. This conflict didn’t appear to be a problem for Taylor-Johnson’s Godzilla co-star, Elizabeth Olsen, who signed to play the Scarlet Witch in the Avengers sequel weeks ago.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron is set to open on May 1, 2015.

Bill can we get a side by side of him and Olsen? They are supposed to be twins after all. Still curious how they will dance around the M word

Yea, I can buy that they are twins.

And I think part of the shared use agreement with Fox is that Disney/Marvel can’t use either “M” word–Magneto or Mutant.
