“SNL” Takes An Hysterical Look At Casting 12 YEARS A SLAVE

IF you saw Oscar nominated 12 Years A Slave, than you may have spotted Saturday Night Live cast member Taran Killam in a small but pivotal role at the beginning of the film. And watching this prerecorded piece from last night’s show, one can’t help but wonder exactly how much of his experience informed the piece. Regardless, it’s a funny and insightful comment on how times have changed and how it might be hard for actors to portray the attitudes of those times.

As a bonus, below is also Killam’s hysterical Jebediah Atkinson character reviewing all, well, some, of the Best Picture Academy Award winners over the last 86 years.

Yet no appearance by cast member Taran Killan, who was in the actual film. I kept waiting for that.
