Advertising so far for Solo: A Star Wars Story has been pretty light so far, especially considering that the film is being released at the end of next month. That might be one of the reasons why it is currently tracking towards the lowest opening weekend of any Star Wars film since the franchise was rebooted in 2015. Will this new trailer that just dropped for the film change any of that? Maybe. It certainly gives some new images that whet the appetite, even if the train/monorail robbery sequence looks as if it was lifted from an episode of Joss Whedon’s late, lamented Firefly TV series. Despite rumors, Alden Ehrenreich’s interpretation of Han Solo seems just fine and everything we see of Donald Glover’s Lando Calrissian looks great. And is that second wookie we see with Chewbacca a member of his family? Are we actually going to see a part of the dread Star Wars Holiday Special brought into canon?
