Academy Announces Documentary
Oscar Contenders

November 15, 2005- The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences
has announced the list of 15 films that will be considered for
nomination for an Oscar for Best Documentary at this year’s Academy
Awards.
All eligible documentaries were screened by members of the Academy’s
Documentary Branch Screening Committee, who chose the films being
considered for nomination. The five nominated films will be
announced along with the rest of the Oscar nominations on January
31, 2006.
The 15 films from which the final five nominees will be selected
