Some new pictures from Frank Miller’s upcoming comic strip adaptation The Spirit have surfaced. (Click each one in the gallery below for the full view.)
For the most part, they look pretty good, but there is still the bad buzz floating around from the footage screened at the San Diego ComicCon this past summer that has me wary about the film. I hate to say it, but I am reminded of the words of a former Starlog editor who once told me that he could judge how bad a movie was going to be by how good the advance pictures were. The better th pictures, the worse the movie. Hopefully, The Spirit will be the film that proves the exception to the rule. We’ll all find out Christmas Day when it opens.
