This year’s Sundance Film Festival has barely closed and we are already aome of the brakout films of the fest are starting to make themselves known to the world at large. One of the pictures that generated a lot of buzz last week was the romantic comedy (500) Days Of Summer.
Now don’t start rolling your eyes at the thought of a rom-com, this one sounds like it actually has substance to it. As the trailer below promises “This is not a love story. This is a story about love.” From Fox Searchlight’s official synopsis-
When Tom, a hapless greeting card copywriter and hopeless romantic, is blindsided after his girlfriend Summer dumps him, he shifts back and forth through various periods of their 500 days “together” to try to figure out where things went wrong. His reflections ultimately lead him to finally rediscover his true passions in life.
(500) Days Of Summer is set to open July 24.
