SiriusXM’s Cinemagic Channel Relegated To Online And Streaming

Fans of SiriusXM’s soundtrack channel Cinemagic will have less choices of how they can hear the channel starting today. The satellite radio provider has removed Cinemagic from its XM radio broadcast lineup. The channel will still be available to stream online and through mobile apps. You could even catch it if you had one of those newer integrated fm transmitter systems with the proper expansions. Admittedly not many people will have this kind of stuff lying around.

In addition to the large number of soundtracks that the channel played, it also featured interviews with composers and filmmakers. That show, “Reel Time,” will move to Channel 104 “SiriusXM Stars Too” on Thursdays and Friday nights and Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

This isn’t the first time that the satellite radio company has screwed with Cinemagic’s availability in their main broadcast package. The channel, which was originally created for the XM Radio service, was made available to Sirius listeners for a total of six days in 2009 following the two providers merger before it was removed for a channel that spotlighted 70s disco.

If you’re a SiriusXM subscriber who is none-too-happy with this you can contact them through their online feedback page or give them a call at (866) 635-2349.
