‘South Park”s Parker And Stone Have Their Own Ideas For A STAR WARS Movie

It seems like it has become standard practice to ask any director being interviewed if they would like a shot at directing one of the upcoming new Star Wars sequels. And so the question was put forth to Trey Parker and Matt Stone as they do the publicity rounds for the road show version of their hit Broadway musical The Book Of Mormon.

Now at first blush, these two seem like unlikely candidates to take on the science-fiction franchise. But you have to remember that there have been several South Park episodes that have either referenced Star Wars or criticized things in the prequel trilogy of films. They are definitely old school fans. And their response below definitely shows that they have some concrete thoughts about what a new trilogy of films would have to deliver in order to succeed where the prequel trilogy did not.
