That name should be familiar to Star Trek fans, as it is the name of a past lover of Jim Kirk’s with whom he had a son David and who was played by actress Bibi Beesch in Star Trek: The Wrath Of Khan.
Granted, the mystery surrounding who Eve was playing was not as all-consuming as it was as to whom Benedict Cumberbatch was playing, but it is interesting that once again director J J Abrams and company are going to the original series episode “Space Seed” and its big screen sequel Star Trek: The Wrath Of Khan for yet another character following yesterday’s reveal that Benedict Cumberbatch’s character’s name is the same as a crew member mentioned in “Space Seed,” even though his actions in the trailer are far from what could be expected from the character originally. Will they be pilfering plot points from these two stories as well?
