Even though production has been going on for several weeks now, we are still hearing about actors joining the cast of Bryan Singer’s upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past. The latest addition to the film was just announced in the form of Australian actor Josh Helman (The Pacific).
The Wrap was the first to break the news, stating that his role is being kept secret for right now but that it must be of substance as “the actor is expected on set for several weeks.”
The film is based on the classic “Days of Fuiture Past” X-Men storyline by writer Chris Claremont and artist John Byrne and involves time travel and is a good gimmick to bring characters seen in the present day-set original X-Men trilogy and 2011’s 1960s-set X-Men: First Class prequel into one film. So far original trilogy stars Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart and Halle Berry are returning to the superhero franchise along with First Class actors James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence. The sequel has also added Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Fan Bingbing and Evan Peters to the cast.
