Garrett Hedlund Lands Lead In Joe Wright’s PAN

Garrett Hedlund has been offered a lead role in director Joe Wright’s Peter Pan origin story, Pan. Hedlund will be playing the pirate Hook, not yet a captain just one of a crew of pirates who arrive in Neverland. Hugh Jackman has been linked to the role of Blackbeard, their leader.

Reportedly, Hedlund beat out Jack Huston and Ezra Miller for the role.

Jason Fuchs’s script sees a newborn baby brought to magical island of Neverland where he grows up to lead the natives in a rebellion against their pirate oppressors.

Pan is set for a June 16, 2015 release.
