\"\"<\/a>It seems that the one villain super spy James Bond has had trouble defeating this last year or so has been the financial problems plaguing studio MGM that have stalled the production of the 23rd installment of the long running franchise. Yesterday, MGM filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and in that filing revealed that under their reconstruction plans they hope to have a new James Bond film in theaters in November 2012.<\/p>\n

MGM plans on acquiring a partner to help share the costs of producing the film.<\/p>\n

As this story comes from financial news outlet Bloomberg<\/a>, there’s no news as to whether many of the key creative people who were working on the film before it went on hiatus last April<\/a>. I suspect that they’ll keep the script that they have now. Planned director Sam Mendes has a number of other projects in development and he may decide to go ahead with one of them instead of further waiting on things to further solidify with MGM.<\/p>\n
