Unstoppable (FOX, 3,207 Theaters, 98 Minutes, Rated PG-13): Denzel Washington is one of those actors that I could be entertained by him simply reading a phone book. That being said, I have to say that I have seen probably only half of the films he’s ever made. I have no excuse as to why.

Washington reunites with Tony Scott on this film. A lot has been made about the number of films they have made together, but working with the same director over and over again seems to be a trend with Washington. He’s made multiple films with Spike Lee, Norman Jewison, Jonathan Demme and Edward Zwick as well. That’s loyalty right there. And a lot of happy directors I’d imagine.

Washington stars with Chris Pine as two men who must stop a runaway train filled with hazardous chemicals before it crashes in a heavily populated town. The scary part about this? It’s loosely based on a true story.

2. And I’m sure I could have probably gone on for another 50 films or so.

This film has been getting a lot of press for it being shot by two special effect mavens in the condominium and it having more special effects shots than any film is history. It was made for a paltry $10 million dollars, so it would be hard for it not to become a success. The producers are already planning a sequel. We’ll, good luck on that, I say.

1.
