From this list, member of the Academy&#8217;s Makeup branch will choose three final nominees after attending a special meeting where they will view ten minute presentations for each film.<\/p>\n<p>The seven films under consideration are &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Alice in Wonderland<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Barney\u2019s Version<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The Fighter<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Jonah Hex<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>True Grit<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The Way Back<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The Wolfman<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You have to admit that there is a certain equality of films under consideration for some technical awards, such as this. The film could be great (<strong>The Wrestler<\/strong>) or have a terrible script (<strong>Alice In Wonderland<\/strong>, <strong>Jonah Hex<\/strong>) or look as if it was sabotaged by horrendous studio interference (<strong>The Wolfman<\/strong>) and the hard work that its crew put into it may still have a chance to be honored without being penalized for things outside of their control.
