{"id":11325,"date":"2011-01-12T22:01:29","date_gmt":"2011-01-13T03:01:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/?p=11325"},"modified":"2018-11-20T22:56:06","modified_gmt":"2018-11-21T03:56:06","slug":"possible-original-tron-blu-ray-art","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2011\/01\/12\/possible-original-tron-blu-ray-art\/","title":{"rendered":"Possible Original TRON Blu-Ray Art?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the weeks leading up to the release of <strong>TRON: Legacy<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2010\/11\/16\/is-disney-trying-to-hide-the-original-tron\/\" target=\"_blank\">people started to wonder<\/a> why Disney was keeping the 1982 original <strong>TRON<\/strong> out of sight of today&#8217;s audiences, perhaps fearful of people reacting negatively to what they perceived as dated special effect work. In reality, Disney was probably holding off a release in order to bring it back out on home video in conjunction with <strong>TRON: Legacy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>While Disney still hasn&#8217;t officially confirmed a release date for <strong>TRON<\/strong> on on blu-ray, some alleged cover art has surfaced today. And I have to say, I&#8217;m not terribly impressed with it. Personally, I would hope that they would go with the original 1982 poster art. It&#8217;s striking and iconic enough that Disney echoed it with one of their poster designs for the new film. If anything, it would help visually tie the two products together.
