While many directors have become famous enough to be known by the general public, only one of them has ever been famous enough to repeatedly appear in the trailers for his upcoming movies to talk directly to the theater audience. That director is, o course, Alfred Hitchcock.<\/p>\n
Recently, the London Times Online<\/a>\u00a0has put together a gallery of trailers for some of Hitch’s classic thrillers, many of which feature the director telling the audience about the film. As expected, these clips are filled with the dark humor that became a hallmark of Hitchcock’s appearances anywhere, whether it be in a trailer or as host of his own anthology television series, Alfred Hitchcock Presents<\/em>.
