De Luca is partnering with Alison Rosenzweig and Michael Gaeta. The trio have not only secured the rights to remake the film, but have also secured the underlying film rights to the original\u00a0William Hjortsberg novel <em>Falling Angel<\/em>, which served as the basis for the first film.<\/p>\n<p>The original film was written and directed by Alan Parker and featured Mickey Rourke as a down on his heels private investigator hired by a mysterious Robert DeNiro to find a missing musician. The film gained some noteriety over its steamy sex scenes featuring <em>Cosby Show<\/em> star Lisa Bonet.
