The film is still more than a year away from hitting theaters and they&#8217;ve already hired writer James Vanderbilt to start working a script for a sequel.<\/p>\n<p>Vanderbilt has been a part of the <strong>Spider-Man<\/strong> franchise for a while. He was originally brought on board when the studio was working with director Sam Raimi to develop a fourth installment in his popular iteration of the character, and was even <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2009\/08\/17\/sony-picks-writer-for-spider-man-5-6\/\" target=\"_blank\">tapped<\/a> to start work on a fifth and sixth installment.
