Twentieth Century Fox’s prequel\/reboot of the Planet Of The Apes<\/strong> franchise, Rise Of The Apes<\/strong>, has undergone a slight title change. As of now, the movie will be known as Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes<\/strong>. While some may find the addition of the classic prepositional phrase makes the title a bit cumbersome, as a long time Planet Of The Apes<\/strong> I think that it works just perfectly.<\/p>\n

Most people will get their first taste of the title next weekend, when the film’s first teaser trailer is expected to debut.<\/p>\n

This isn’t the first time that the film has undergone a name change. It was originally developed by Fox under the title Ceasar<\/strong>, the name of the ape who lead the revolt against the apes’ human slavers in the fourth installment of the original series Conquest Of The Planet Of The Apes<\/strong>. The name was later changed to Ceasar: Rise Of The Apes<\/strong> and then shortened slightly to just Rise Of The Apes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
