Aaron Eckhart, Sean Bean and AnnaSophia Robb are set to headline Pan<\/strong>, a dark variation on J M Barrie’s classic Peter Pan<\/em>, for Essential Entertainment.<\/p>\n

Eckhart will be playing Hook, a tormented former London police detective brought out of his forced retirement to track down a mysterious child kidnapper known only as Pan. Bean will be Smee, the current chief detective on the force while Robb will play Wendy, a former victim of Pan who is now confined to an asylum.<\/p>\n

Directing the film will be Ben Hibon, who was responsible for the animated sequence in last year’s Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part One<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Screen Daily<\/a> were the first with the news of the casting and their report stated that the film’s screenplay is by Ben Magid. They make no mention of any other writers on the project, however the story synopsis is remarkably similar to a spec script written by Aaron Henry and Kirk Kjeldsen with the identical title that was on the 2006 Black List. It is unclear as to whether Magid has done a rewrite on the Henry and Kjeldsen draft or if the two screenplays are just eerily alike.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
