Oddly enough, the sequel, titled <strong>The Topkapi Affair<\/strong>, a remake of the 1964 Peter Ustinov film <strong>Topkapi<\/strong>. Since the original <strong>Topkapi <\/strong>was not a sequel\/prequel\/anything-else-quel to the original <strong>Thomas Crown Affair<\/strong>, there will be some obvious tweaking of the original&#8217;s story.<\/p>\n<p>While <strong>Crown<\/strong> &#8217;99 star Pierce Brosnan will be returning for the new film, his co-star Renee Russo is reportedly not. At one point, Angelina Jolie was being touted as taking the female lead, though it has never been officially announced.<\/p>\n<p>Filming is set to take place on location in Istanbul, site of the famous the Topkapi Palace.
