Olivia Munn has been tapped to star in comedy troupe Broken Lizard’s next feature, The Baby Maker<\/strong>. She’ll play the wife of a man who who realizes he has become infertile and\u00a0 enlists his buddies to break into a sperm bank and steal back some donations he had made years previously.<\/p>\n

Broken Lizard member Jay Chandrasekhar is set to direct. Oddly enough, Variety<\/em><\/a> is reporting that the script is not by the group as has been the case with their previous projects but is by Ice Age: The Meltdown<\/strong> writers Peter Gaulke and Gerry Swallow. I wouldn’t be surprised, though, if the screenplay has been tailored by the group to suit their own particular strengths.<\/p>\n

Munn will star opposite Paul Schneider (Lars And The Real Girl<\/strong>) when the film begins shooting this summer.<\/p>\n

When we chatted with Broken Lizard\u2019s Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme back in December 2009<\/a>, they stated that The Baby Maker<\/strong> was a project at the time under consideration at Warner Brothers, with Heffernan in the role of the man trying to reclaim his donated sperm.<\/p>\n

This marks the third time that Munn will team with the comedy troupe. Previously, she had a small role in their last feature The Slammin’ Salmon<\/strong> as a customer in a fish restaurant. She also stars in the upcoming indie comedy Freeloaders<\/strong> which the group helped produce and have small roles in.<\/p>\n

Although she’s become a geek heart throb as former host of G4’s Attack Of The Show, Munn has been starting to carve out a career as an actress over the last couple of years with appearances in Date Night<\/strong> and Iron Man 2 and recently landing a role in the pilot for Aron Sorkin’s new HBO series More As The Story Develops<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
