Presumably, this is the news that director David Slade <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2011\/05\/30\/daredevil-news-coming-this-week\/\" target=\"_blank\">was teasing<\/a> back on May 28.<\/p>\n<p>Created by the writer and artist team of Frank Miller and Dave Mazzucchelli, the story charts the consequences of Daredevil\u2019s ex-girlfriend Karen Page selling his secret identity of blind lawyer Matt Murdoch for drug money. The information eventually makes its way to Dardevil\u2019s long-time nemesis, Kingpin. Kingpin begins to slowly and methodically taking apart Murdoch\u2019s life. The storyline ran in 1986 in issues #227 to #233 and is generally considered by fans to be the highpoint of Miller\u2019s reinvention of the comic in a more noir vein.<\/p>\n<p>It is probably safe to assume that the draft David Scarpa <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2010\/02\/06\/daredevil-reboot-gets-a-writer\/\" target=\"_blank\">was hired to pen<\/a> back in February 2010 has been discarded.<\/p>\n<p>Currently a writer\/producer on Fringe, Kane has also written the screenplays for <strong>Brooklyn\u2019s Finest<\/strong>, a planned Richard Pryor biopic called <strong>View-Master<\/strong> and an adaptation of the best-selling vampire novel <em>The Historian<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\">Screenwriter Brad Caleb Kane has been hired to adapt the classic Daredevil comic book \u201cBorn Again\u201d storyline for 20th Century Fox\u2019s second attempt at launching a franchise featuring the Marvel Comics superhero.
