The screenwriter will be reworking David Callaham\u2018s script for director Gareth Edwards.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.deadline.com\/2011\/07\/legendary-hires-david-goyer-for-godzilla\/\" target=\"_blank\">Deadline<\/a>, producers Legendary Pictures is hoping to &#8220;approach the film and its characters in the most authentic manner possible and was smart to get a pro like Goyer on board so early in the process since he has so much experience creating franchises.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Goyer&#8217;s resume in terms of franchises is pretty impressive, with both the <strong>Blade<\/strong> trilogy and Christopher Nolan&#8217;s <strong>Batman<\/strong> films to his credit. He is also working with Nolan on Warner Brothers new Superman film <strong>Man Of Steel<\/strong>. Certainly pretty impressive work. Will he be able to work that magic on <strong>Godzilla<\/strong>? Let&#8217;s hope so.<\/p>\n<p>And say&#8230; If Legendary is looking to Goyer for his &#8220;experience creating franchises&#8221; I guess that means that they are hoping to that this will launch a whole new series of G-films.
