There is no word yet if Thurber is a possibility to direct as well.<\/p>\n<p>In other news, the big screen adaption of the Dark Horse Comics graphic novel <em>The Umbrella Academy<\/em> is still in development at Universal.<\/p>\n<p>The last time we had heard of this project was back in 2009 when the script then currently at the studio made that year&#8217;s Black List of the best unproduced screenplays floating around Hollywood. That draft was written by Mark Bomback , who also authored <strong>Live Free Or Die Hard<\/strong> and Bryan Singer&#8217;s upcoming <strong>Jack The Giant Killer<\/strong>. With no new word on the project for almost two years, I had begun to think that the project was dead.<\/p>\n<p>The title was created by writer Gerard Way, perhaps better known as the lead singer from the band My Chemical Romance, and artist Gabriel B\u00e1. It&#8217;s story centers on a dysfunctional family of superheroes who find themselves fighting rather strange threats to the planet.
