This time, the film’s script by Christopher McQuarrie is getting an overhaul from writer Mark Bomback. Let’s think about that for a moment. A screenplay written by the writer of The Usual Suspects<\/strong> is being rewritten by the guy responsible for the scripts for Live Free Or Die Hard<\/strong>, Unstoppable<\/strong>, and the remake of Race To Witch Mountain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Variety<\/em><\/a> is stating that the rewrites are being done to accommodate a new character, Viper, who they describe as “the Caucasian scretary for Japan\u2019s Minister of Justice.” Comics fans will probably know that the character has a long and tangled history with Wolverine.<\/p>\n

Recently<\/a>, it looked as if problems in securing filming locations in Japan would push back the film’s start date from this fall to next spring.
