The writer has been hired to work on the screenplay of the new American adaption of Japan&#8217;s Toho Studios&#8217; famous monster star that Legendary Pictures is in the process of developing. Previously, David Goyer was the writer on the project when it was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2011\/07\/13\/david-goyer-scripting-american-godzilla\/\" target=\"_blank\">first announced<\/a> back in July.<\/p>\n<p>Although not a known name for genre projects, Borenstein has worked with Legendary on their in-development bio-pic of rock legend Jimi Hendrix and has done a rewrite on the supernatural fantasy <strong>The Seventh Son<\/strong>. He has also just turned in to Warner Brothers his screenplay <strong>The Art Of The Steal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not surprised that another writer writer has been added to the project following Goyer.
