And we talked about why Sorkin, who knew Jobs, might not necessarily want to take on the assignment.<\/p>\n<p>But in a new interview with the <a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20120502024936\/http:\/\/www.eonline.com:80\/news\/marc_malkin\/steve_jobs_movie_something_im_strongly\/276249\" target=\"_blank\">E! Online<\/a>, Sorkin, who won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for <strong>The Social Network<\/strong>, his film about Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, stated &#8211;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Sony has asked me to write the movie and it\u2019s something I\u2019m strongly considering. Right now I\u2019m just in the thinking-about-it stages. It\u2019s a really big movie and it\u2019s going to be a great movie no matter who writes it.<\/p>\n<p>He was a great entrepreneur, he was a great artist, a great thinker. He\u2019s probably inspired [my 11-year-old daughter] Roxy more than he\u2019s inspired me\u2026 she plays with all his toys.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Sony is developing the film having paid a reported $1 million for the rights to Walter Isaacson\u2019s best selling biography of the late technology innovator. Sorkin stated that while he hasn&#8217;t made a decision about the job he has been reading Isaacson&#8217;s book as research.
