The film is set to start shooting in New Orleans next month with Ed Gass-Donnelly directing and star Ashley Bell returning to reprise her role as possessed teen Nell Sweetzer.<\/p>\n<p>The story of a frauc exorcist confronted with an actual possessed girl, <strong>The Last Exorcism<\/strong> was a surprise hit in 2009, pulling $70 million at the box office against its $1.5 million budget.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.deadline.com\/2012\/01\/last-exorcism-producers-set-sequel-director-start-date-ashley-bell-to-star\/\" target=\"_blank\">Deadline<\/a>, the new film will pick up three months after the close of the first film, but beyond that there have been no story details released.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, although the first film was rated PG-13, it is being reported that this sequel will be shooting for a harder R-rating.
