\"\"<\/a>The Super Bowl ad wasn’t the only thing related to The Avengers <\/strong>that was relased yesterday. Marvel also released\u00a0the first issue of a digital miniseries that is advertised as a canonical prequel to the May 4 film.<\/p>\n

Marvel’s The Avengers Prelude: Fury’s Big Week<\/strong> is a eight-week digital comic book focusing on Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, and purports to fill in the blanks between the Iron Man <\/strong>films, The Incredible Hulk<\/strong>, Thor <\/strong>and Captain America: The First Avenger <\/strong>and set the stage for this year’s blockbuster.<\/p>\n

Much like your neighborhood crack dealer, Marvel is offering the first, twelve-page\u00a0issue for free, the rest you have to pay for. The\u00a0remaining issues will be released\u00a0every Tuesday starting February 14th for seven weeks and will cost $.99 each.<\/p>\n

The book can be purchased through the Marvel app for you smart devices, or through the digital comic service, Comixology<\/a>. \u00a0What if digital comics are not your thing? Well, considering the fact the digital series will be ending in March,\u00a0it just might be collected into a analog, ink and paper format sometime in April before the film arrives in theaters.<\/p>\n
