The Luther and Game Of Thrones helmer has been looking to break into features as of late. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2011\/08\/05\/brian-kirk-in-talks-to-direct-thor-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">Last August<\/a> he was close to signing on to direct <strong>Thor 2<\/strong> before Marvel Studio decided to go with Patty Jenkins.<\/p>\n<p>Kirk has also been developing a potential Tom Cruise film called <strong>Paper Wings<\/strong> for Sony and <strong>Midnight Delivery<\/strong> with producer Guillermo Del Toro at Universal.<\/p>\n<p>Previously adapted in 1983 by the great Sam Peckinpah, this new version of Ludlum&#8217;s classic novel is being scripted by Simon Kinberg and Jesse Wigutow.
