\"\"<\/a>Playwright and actor Jason Miller will be honored today in Scranton, PA with the unveiling of a bust sculpted in his honor.<\/p>\n

The bronze bust, sculpted by Miller’s longtime friend and fellow actor Paul Sorvino, will be unveiled at Scranton’s Courthouse Square at 12:15.<\/p>\n

Although born in Queens, New York, Miller grew up in the northeastern Pennsylvania city of Scranton and chose to remain living there through most of his career. He used the city as the backdrop for his 1982 directorial debut That Championship Season<\/strong>, based on his Pulitzer Prize winning play. The star of 1973’s The\u00a0Exorcist<\/strong> was long a familiar face on the regional theater scene.<\/p>\n

Miller died in Scranton\u00a0on May 13, 2001.<\/p>\n
