(And yes, I’ve seen enough episodes of the original HBO series to conclude that its depicition of the lives of four carefree, single women – played by Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon – in Manhattan is pretty much fantasy.)<\/p>\nAccording to the reports unnamed source, the producers of the film are so sure that the film’s success that they are all set to exercise an option in the four stars’ contracts, obligating them for a second, and possibily even a third, film.<\/p>\n

Since this story has originated in a British tabloid, we have to give the obligatory warning to take this report with a grain of salt. One thing that sinks the veracity of this report is the Mail<\/em>‘s source’s assertation that “the producers are already working on a script for a second movie.” Did someone forget that there is a Writers Guild strike going on?
