As the week came to a close it was announced that Jackie Earle Haley has signed onto the film and that Jay Baruchel is reportedly interested in a role as well.<\/p>\n<p>Haley will be playing Maddox, a character created for the reboot who is a military expert who trains a pre-robocop&#8217;ed Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman). Looking back at Haley&#8217;s work on the TV series <em>Human Target<\/em>, this sounds like a good fit for the actor.<\/p>\n<p>There isn&#8217;t really any information as to what part Baruchel is reportedly interested in though <a href=\"http:\/\/www.deadline.com\/2012\/07\/jackie-earle-haley-joining-robocop-cast\/\" target=\"_blank\">Deadline<\/a> is calling at a &#8220;lead role.&#8221; My guess is that it is probably somewhat nebbish-y.<\/p>\n<p>The actors will be joining Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Hugh Laurie, Samuel L.
