\"\"Despite earlier reports, Mary Elizabeth will be appearing in next year\u2019s A Good Day To Die Hard<\/strong>, the fifth in the Die Hard<\/strong> franchise. Previously, Winstead had been playing coy when asked about her returning to the franchise to reprise her role of Lucy McClane, daughter of series hero John McClane (Bruce Willis) which she originated in 2007\u2019s Live Free Or Die Hard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The confirmation of her appearance comes from the blog of diplomat and sometime film extra Ted Cross (who has since\u00a0removed<\/a> his original post) who managed to get some work on the film during its Budapest, Hungary location work.<\/p>\n

It’s a scene near the end of the movie\u2026 The best, though, was that I got to work with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who plays Willis\u2019s daughter.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Of course we don\u2019t know how much screen time Winstead will get. This installment is reported to center on a situation that McLane\u2019s son John (Jai Courtney) finds himself in that requires some high caliber help from his father. It is possible that Winstead\u2019s appearance will be just enough to provide some continuity between the last film and this one much in the same way that Willis\u2019 Die Hard<\/strong> co-star Reginald VanJohnson made a brief appearance in Die Hard 2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Now if someone could just do something about getting Bonnie Bedelia back to play McClane\u2019s now-estranged wife Holly one more time.<\/p>\n
