It was a project that Terry Gilliam <a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2009\/01\/26\/gilliam-getting-set-to-shoot-zero-theorem\/\" target=\"_blank\">was developing<\/a> back in 2009 but had since fallen off the radar. And as I read the story of a reclusive mathematician under pressure from his mysterious employer known only as Management to mathematically prove that existence has or doesn&#8217;t has a purpose while dealing with a variety of decidedly odd interruptions to his work I found myself sadly thinking how its skewed look at reality and virtual reality was definitely up Gilliam&#8217;s alley.<\/p>\n<p>Well, it looks like Gilliam is going to be tackling the material after all. It has been announced that Gilliam will begin shooting the film in Romania on October 22 with <strong>Inglorious Basterds<\/strong>&#8216; Christoph Waltz in the lead role of Qohen Leth.<\/p>\n<p>The film currently doesn&#8217;t have a distributor, but the producers will be shopping it around at the Toronto International Film Festival next month.<\/p>\n<p>It is always good news when Terry Gilliam announces a new film.
