He will be directing Warner Brothers live action\/CG mashup <strong>Yogi Bear 2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Although roasted by critics, the previous <strong>Yogi Bear<\/strong> film earned the studio $200 million off of an $80 million budget, so I guess a sequel was inevitable.<\/p>\n<p>Chandrasekhar previously directed Warners big screen adaptation of the 1970s TV series <em>The Dukes Of Hazzard<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>As a Broken Lizard fan, I have to admit to some disappointment over the news. Sure I know Chandrasekhar has to eat, but if he is not going to be working on a Broken Lizard film, I would rather at least see him working on some other comedy project. Previously in his down time Chandrasekhar has directed episodes of <em>Freaks And Geeks<\/em>, <em>Up All Night<\/em>, <em>Royal Pains<\/em> and <em>Community<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>There may be a bright side to this, though. After Chandrasekhar did <strong>Dukes Of Hazzard<\/strong> for Warners, the studio turned around and financed Broken Lizard\u2019s comedy <strong>Beerfest<\/strong>. Perhaps there is another <em>quid pro quo<\/em> deal going here and Warners will bankroll another Broken Lizard script.
