To that end they\u2019ve hired Gareth Edwards, who has already showed some facility with the genre in his own low budget film <strong>Monsters<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It also sounds as if they are paying careful attention to the script already worked on by David Callahan, David Goyer and Max Borenstein. <a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20121207132931\/http:\/\/www.variety.com:80\/article\/VR1118060280?refCatId=13\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Variety<\/em><\/a> is reporting that a new writer has been added to that list \u2013 <strong>Iron Man 3<\/strong>\u2019s Drew Pearce.<\/p>\n<p>With the studio reportedly happy with the screenplay\u2019s core story, Pearce is coming on board to help \u201cage up\u201d the characters prior to casting getting underway.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s an interesting concern about a screenplay to have and it sounds as if Edwards and Warners isn\u2019t interested in just populating the film with a bunch of twenty-something model types.
