Of course, this meant the entire series needed to be remastered for high-def broadcast.<\/p>\n<p>Over at <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210125021553\/https:\/\/www.scifijapan.com\/articles\/2008\/12\/29\/putting-godzilla-in-focus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SciFi Japan<\/a>, there&#8217;s a good article on the process of restoration that the films had to go through as part of the remastering. If you&#8217;re familiar with the process of film restoration, there is probably not a lot of new information in the piece for you. If you aren&#8217;t familiar with how films are cleaned and restored, the article is a good primer on the process.
