{"id":23016,"date":"2012-11-01T12:23:25","date_gmt":"2012-11-01T16:23:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/?p=23016"},"modified":"2012-11-01T12:23:25","modified_gmt":"2012-11-01T16:23:25","slug":"waltz-signs-onto-muppets-sequel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2012\/11\/01\/waltz-signs-onto-muppets-sequel\/","title":{"rendered":"Waltz Signs Onto MUPPETS Sequel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/ChristophWaltz.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23017\" title=\"ChristophWaltz\" src=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/ChristophWaltz.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>Christoph Waltz will be heading up the human portion of the cast to Disney\u2019s sequel to last year\u2019s hit, <strong>The Muppets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/christoph-waltz-negotiations-star-muppets-385055\" target=\"_blank\"><em> Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a> is stating that the actor who won an Academy Award for his portrayl of a sadistic Nazi officer in Quentin Tarantino\u2019s <strong>Inglorious Basterds<\/strong> will be signing on to play a human police inspector who falls in with Kermit the Frog and friends in what has previously been described as a caper film set in Europe. The Reporter is also stating that two other human roles will be of a Russian femme fatale and a male lead with questionable intentions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Muppets<\/strong> director James Bobin is returning for this new, as-yet-untitled film. Bobin has co-written the script with Muppets co-writer Nicholas Stoller.<\/p>\n<p>Waltz working with the Muppets is a rather surprising turn of events, but one that I am looking forward to seeing.
