\"\"Although fans of the Alien<\/strong> series were looking forward to what Ridley Scott was going to deliver with this past summer’s Prometheus<\/strong>, there was some division over the final product as it was seen in theaters. Some of the blame was placed on screenwriter Damon Lindelof, who has in the past year or two has come under fire by, in my estimation, fans of Lost<\/em> who felt disappointed that the show’s finale chose to address its characters’ fates rather than the many mysteries posed by its mysterious Island location.<\/p>\n

But Lindelof was the second screenwriter on the film. It was actually a draft by Jon Spaihts entitled Alien: Engineers<\/strong> that actually got the project in active development at studio Twentieth Century Fox. And now thanks to the folks over at Prometheus Movie, you can read one of the drafts that Spaihts wrote before Lindelof came on board and decide for yourself where the movie may have not met your expectations.<\/p>\n

And don’t worry, Spaihts himself has verified that this is the real deal.<\/p>\n
