\"Lattin<\/a>Turner Classic Movies is preempting its schedule tomorrow, Friday January 23rd, in order to pay tribute to one of Hollywood\u2019s classiest men, Ricardo Montalban.<\/p>\n

The following films are scheduled to air:<\/p>\n

7:30 AM Fiesta<\/strong> (1947) \u2013 Here is the movie that brought Montalban to Hollywood and secured him a contract with MGM.<\/p>\n

9:30 AM Neptune\u2019s Daughter<\/strong> (1949) \u2013 Neptune\u2019s Daughter<\/strong> isn\u2019t a memorable comedy, but it is worth the watch to see Montalban sing \u201cBaby It\u2019s Cold Outside.\u201d<\/p>\n

11:15 AM Latin Lovers<\/strong> (1953) \u2013 When his dear friend, Fernando Lamas, departed from the film due to bad publicity surrounding his romance with Latin Lovers<\/strong> star Lana Turner, Montalban stepped in as worthy replacement. Turner and Montalban sizzle, as seen by their smooth samba number.<\/p>\n

1:00 PM Border Incident <\/strong>(1949) \u2013 Underrated and underappreciated, Border Incident<\/strong> spotlights Montalban as a tough Mexican detective in director Anthony Mann\u2019s coarse noir piece.<\/p>\n

2:45 PM Battleground<\/strong> (1949) \u2013 Battleground<\/strong>, which also stars Van Johnson, is still a noteworthy WWII flick which carefully explores the human nature of GIs caught in the Battle of the Bugle.<\/p>\n

4:45 PM Across the Wide Missouri<\/strong> (1951) \u2013 Across the Wide Missouri<\/strong> is one of Montalban\u2019s meatier pictures. This movie also stars MGM\u2019s biggest box-office magnet, Clark Gable, and is punctuated by an unfortunate mishap. While filming, Montalban suffered a spinal cord injury – something he worked hard to conceal onscreen for much of his acting career.<\/p>\n

6:15 PM The Singing Nun<\/strong> (1966) \u2013 This wispy musical, also starring Debbie Reynolds, highlights Montalban\u2019s affinity for song and dance.<\/p>\n
