\"Looper\"<\/a>The Writers Guild has announced the nominees for their annual awards. You’ll probably note that there are a number of titles missing from the nominees here that you have been hearing this awards season, specifically – Amour<\/strong>, Beasts Of The Southern Wild<\/strong>, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel<\/strong>, Django Unchained<\/strong> and Les Miserables<\/strong>. The reason for this is due to all of these films were excluded from the nomination ballots for not being produced under guild jurisdiction or under a collective bargaining agreement in Canada, Ireland, New Zealand or the UK. It should be noted that the Academy Awards have no such restriction in their rules.<\/p>\n

The Writers Guild Awards will be presented February 17.<\/p>\n
