\"\"<\/a>Peter Jackson has been pretty upfront that the DVD\/blu-ray releases for his three Hobbit films will follow the same model that was used for the DVD release for his Lord Of The Rings films – a theatrical-cut release followed a few months later by an Extended Edition featuring a longer cut of the film and a greater number of special features. We don’t know exactly when to expect the theatrical version of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey<\/strong>, but thanks to this French advertisement and a look at the French Amazon<\/a> site (via Bleeding Cool<\/a>) for the release we do know what some of the extras may be on that release –<\/p>\n

For those whose French may be a little rusty, this translates out to two hours of supplements, comprising a \u201cMaking Of\u201d and ten videoblogs. Interestingly, the 3D version of the film will be spread out across two blu-rays while the standard 2D version version will only be on one disc. No commentaries, but that isn’t surprising as the Lord Of The Rings<\/strong> commentaries didn’t arrive until the extended versions, so I will assume that will be when we see, or rather hear, the commentaries this time.
