And that&#8217;s how we come to have some news about the upcoming sequel to last summer&#8217;s <strong>The Amazing Spider-Man<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>While making an appearance in Park City to help support the film <strong>Kill Your Darlings<\/strong>, Dane DeHaan, who is set to play Harry Osbourne in the Spider sequel, denied that his character was also going to be the villain Green Goblin. However, after the screening, <strong>Kill Your Darlings<\/strong> director John Krokidas seemed to be of a different opinion. As reported by Hit Fix &#8211;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Krokidas introduced the cast of &#8220;Darlings&#8221; which includes Daniel Radcliffe, Ben Foster and Michael C. Hall. When he got to DeHaan he said &#8220;He&#8217;s the Green Goblin.&#8221; DeHaan just smiled, but it didn&#8217;t seem like Krokidas was kidding.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>We already know that Jamie Foxx has been set to play the villain Electro, so DeHaan would be the film&#8217;s second villain. And that&#8217;s not even counting Norman Osbourne, Harry&#8217;s father, who was not seen in the first film though he was definitely a presence in the story of how Peter Parker became Spider-Man. In the comics, it is Norman, not Harry, who fought against Spider-Man as the Green Goblin. Have the filmmakers\u00a0 made a change in the standard Spider-Man mythology?
