{"id":26172,"date":"2013-01-28T08:15:15","date_gmt":"2013-01-28T13:15:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/?p=26172"},"modified":"2021-08-28T11:09:07","modified_gmt":"2021-08-28T15:09:07","slug":"is-bill-murray-appearing-in-terry-gilliams-zero-theorem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/2013\/01\/28\/is-bill-murray-appearing-in-terry-gilliams-zero-theorem\/","title":{"rendered":"Is Bill Murray Appearing In Terry Gilliam&#8217;s ZERO THEOREM?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/bill-murray.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-26174\" alt=\"bill-murray\" src=\"http:\/\/www.filmbuffonline.com\/FBOLNewsreel\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/bill-murray-300x215.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"215\" \/><\/a>Terry Gilliam&#8217;s next film, <strong>The Zero Theorem<\/strong>, has wrapped shooting and is working its way through post-production, but that doesn&#8217;t mean that the director is done casting actors for the film.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with Bill Murray for the British release of his latest film <strong>Hyde Park On Hudson<\/strong>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20130419153928\/http:\/\/www.thesundaytimes.co.uk\/sto\/culture\/film_and_tv\/film\/article1199963.ece\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Sunday Times<\/em><\/a> mentioned that the actor has been approached to appear in the film &#8211;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>He\u2019s also being courted for a role in Terry Gilliam\u2019s <strong>The Zero Theorem<\/strong>, but isn\u2019t sure he will have the time (read: \u00adinclination) to do it. \u201cTerry\u2019s a fun guy to hang out with,\u201d he says. \u201cHis stuff doesn\u2019t always work for me, but it\u2019s not for lack of trying. He really throws it out there.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So what could Murray do for a film that is already done shooting? A portion of the film&#8217;s plot involves telephone calls being received by the chief protagonist Qohen Leth (being played by a head-shaven Christoph Waltz). It is possible that Gilliam is interested in Murray for some voice over work that would be done during the current post-production phase.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the reporter could have gotten the story a bit wrong. Murray could have been referring to something that Gilliam is trying to get set up. Certainly having Bill Murray attached to a project would be a good way to interest potential investors.
