After bukilding up a cult audience for his Spanish-language work over the last years, he completed work on his first English-language film, <strong>The Oxford Murders<\/strong>, last year.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the international bestseller, the film stars Elijah Wood as an Oxford graduate student who joins forces with a professor, played by John Hurt, to solve a series of gruesome murders. When they discover that the killer is basing his crimes on certain mathematical theories, the two are in a race to solve the equations before the killer can strike again.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, while it was just released in Spain last Friday, the film has yet to find either a US or UK distributor.
