Twentieth Century Fox is hoping that Luck will be a lady for them. The studio has purchased the screen rights to the classic Broadway musical Guys And Dolls<\/em> with the intention of using it as a starring vehicle for Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.<\/p>\n

Based on a collection of short stories by Damon Runyon, the show tells the story of a pair of gamblers – Nathan Detroit and Sky Masterson – who strike up a bet that one of them can’t convince the virginal Sarah Brown to accompany him on a trip to Havana, Cuba. For the 1955 film adaptation Frank Sinatra played Nathan, Marlon Brando played Masterson and Jean Simmons was Sarah.<\/p>\n

Tatum and Gordon-Levitt are interesting choices and aren’t as surprising as one may think. Both have danced on screen before, and even if you discount Tatum’s stripper antics in Magic Mike<\/strong> he didn’t embarrass himself when he appeared at last month’s Oscars singing and dancing with Daniel Radcliffe and host Seth MacFarlane.<\/p>\n

So far the studio doesn’t have a writer or director attached but I don’t forsee them having any trouble finding interested parties.<\/p>\n
