From the Attention Deficit Disorder editing of <strong>Moulin Rouge<\/strong> to the style-over-substance direction of his adaptation of Shakespeare\u2019s <strong>Romeo And Juliet<\/strong>, Luhrmann has always seemed to be more about the look of his films rather than the story he is trying to tell. And Luhrmann\u2019s latest, an adaptation of <strong>The Great Gatsby<\/strong> scheduled to open on Friday, has already been receiving some of the most <a href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20130709140828\/http:\/\/www.theatlanticwire.com:80\/entertainment\/2013\/05\/great-gatsby-reviews\/64910\/\" target=\"_blank\">scathing reviews<\/a> of his career so far.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/baz-luhrmann-i-want-leonardo-518858\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a> at the premier of Gatsby, Luhrmann indictated that he already had another classic in mind to push through his meat-grinder of a filmmaking process &#8211;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>To me, Gatsby is the American Hamlet.
